Preliminary Research

Below are the concept maps I created for each potential community partner as well as my thoughts on each one.

SafeChatSV

I chose to research SafeChatSV, a website that provides an online, live-chatting system for those who have experienced or want to learn more about domestic violence. One of the main reasons why SafeChatSV was my personal top choice was so that I could use my experience as a computer science major to the fullest.

We Start Gardens

We Start Gardens was my second choice because I was interested in redesigning their website into a mobile-friendly version. However, I was not interested in their main, higher priority project, which required more engineering and environmental-based research.

UCCE - Martial Cottle Park

UCCE was my third choice because even though their project mostly called for engineers to develop a way to consistently track moisture levels, efficient data management was also part of the issue. I believed that I could help by creating a way to display moisture level data in a readable format.
